Dr. Ramy A. Awad is a board-certified bariatric and minimally invasive surgeon and the Medical Director of the Bariatric Program at Desert Regional Medical Center.

With advanced training from Temple University, UC Irvine, and a fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Florida, Dr. Awad combines cutting-edge surgical expertise with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

He is nationally recognized for his work in robotic-assisted bariatric surgery, having performed over 4,000 robotic cases with exceptional outcomes. His specialties include gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch, and complex revisional surgeries.
